Does your live-streams feature only static front-facing shots? Do you want to up your live-streaming game and present your audience with engaging multi-camera views?

In this post we will discuss utilizing iBOLT’s Stream-Cast Creator Custom Mount Kit and an app called Switcher Studio to elevate your live-stream productions. This combination of hardware and software will help you live-stream like a pro, allowing you to edit your live-stream in real time and switch to different cameras providing the audience with engaging angled shots on demand.

WHAT IS SWITCHER STUDIO?

Switcher Studio is an IOS application that allows you to control multiple cameras at once and edit a live-stream in real time. Editing features include graphics and overlays and a multitude of other options found here (link to switcher studio). However, the ability to switch to other cameras in a multi-cam setup is the feature that has us at iBOLT the most excited. Our mounts and add-on products are perfectly situated to get the most out of Switcher Studio. BOLT’s Stream-Cast Creator Custom Mount Kit is the perfect mount to help you get started with providing your audience with the most engaging angled shots and help you produce your best live-streams not matter what the topic. Here is why!

WHAT CAN IBOLT’S STREAM-CAST CREATOR CUSTOM MOUNT KIT DO FOR YOU?
First, iBOLT’s Stream-Cast Creator Custom Mount Kit comes out of the box with options for sixty different variations and customizations. It is this customization that will help you mount your cameras in ideal configurations for angled shots and alternate views.

Your live-streams will no longer be locked into the front-facing camera view. With three adjustable arms, iBOLT’s Stream-Cast Creator Custom Mount Kit comes equipped with mounts for a multitude of camera options such as your iPhone, iPad, DLSR or action camera. With the magic of Switcher Studio you will be able to execute multiple shots on the screen for your viewing audience at the same time utilizing any of the cameras just mentioned.

For instance, you have a product you want to sell to your audience. So, you start off with the front-facing view to address the audience and say hello, then morph that view into a circle at the bottom right of the screen. At the same time, a new camera takes up the full screen as you present your product from a top-down look. The audience will still see you, but the primary focus will be the product you are describing. The audience is now able to connect with you while you are describing your product and able to see the product at the same time. This increases engagement and the likelihood of you selling this product to your audience.

Now with the iBOLT’s Stream-Cast Creator Custom Mount Kit you can choose to mount a front-facing camera and an overview camera at the same time. (Show image) Meanwhile, you can switch cameras or pull in two different camera views utilizing an IOS app that is on your device and situated off-camera. The Stream-Cast kit can elevate up to 28.5” tall, giving more than enough room for your overhead product shot, while the front-facing camera is then pulled in towards the mount and out of the overhead view. Question: can you add a third view to the live-stream?

Yes! Using the “Y” adapter that comes with the Stream-Cast kit a third camera can be introduced into the live-stream for multiple-angle support. This third camera can be positioned with an alternate line of view to the product. Switching between the overhead shot and the side-view angle now gives the live-stream more depth and character.

Another option for using the Stream-Cast kit is to use one mount as a monitor. Mount your iPad to one of the arms on the Y adapter included in the Stream-Cast kit. This iPad can then be situated to view the production while you are live-streaming. The Switcher Studio app allows for the connection of up to nine devices. This allows for monitoring and editing the production in real-time.

In many cases it is a good idea to have a partner help you with the production of the live-stream so you don’t seem distracted. Having a partner will help the presentation feel seamless. As you focus on your product, you team member is overlaying graphics in real time while switching camera views and angles. This setup and utilization of the Switcher Studio app can help bring your audience closer to the product, keep them engaged, and allow you to achieve more sales.
